IS System designer
Global Markets (GMK) provides innovative, customized and integrated financial solutions for finance, investment and hedging needs. GMK serves internal customers - Inter Trust, Brokerage, Clearing & Custody and Prime Fund Solutions and external customers such as Asset Managers and Hedge funds and relationships Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Private Banking and Retail Banking. In recent years, GMK has built a leading position in Securities Financing, Treasury, but also specialist services such as Carbon Trading.
Information Systems & Technology (IST) is the ICT department of Fortis Bank and consists of two divisions, namely: Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (I & O). The services of IS focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining and integrating applications. The management of some systems / services has been merged into competence centers.
Due to the growth of transactions and markets covered by the Sophis Risque system there is an immediate need for 3rd line support expertise. The job opening requires an in-depth knowledge of the Sophis System including the server and client side configuration database and so on.
The candidate should have a proven track record in supporting this application for a demanding client.
The Position
Act as 3rd line support for the Sophis Risque (currently v5.3.4.19) application and its Toolkit, API and RiskCOM modules, both for Front-, Midd-, Back office, Accounting, Risk and other departments.
Liaise with developers, users, business analysts, Sophis User Desk, end users etc, to analyze and solve problems as quickly as possible.
You work under responsibility of the coordinator of the Sophis Competence Centre
Job Requirements
Must have:
- Proven track record within Sophis Risque support, preferable Front-to-BackExperience with server and client side of Sophis Risque
- Knowledge of Sophis database and SQL to query it
Preferably:
- College or University level
- Knowledge of financial products within Global Markets and Securities Financing is a pro
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and databases (particularly WINTEL / UNIX / Oracle 10) in general
- Experience with VBA and/or C++ is a plus
- Able to cope with stress
- Flexible in working times (because of global use of the system, in various time zones)
